Vapour pressures and energies of combustion have been measured, and enthalpies of vaporization and formation have been determined for γ- and δ-pentano-, hexano-, nonanolactones and 4-pentenoic acid. Thermodynamic properties of called gaseous compounds within temperature ranges 100 to 1500 K have been obtained according to the molecular and spectral data. A method for estimation of thermodynamic properties of lactones has been proposed, which is based on additive computation of polynomial coefficients that describe correlation of property with temperature. The thermodynamic analysis of isomerization and polymerization of γ-,δ-pentanolactones and 4-pentenoic acid has been executed.
