Redox properties of alloxan and dialuric acid have been studied. On the base of ultraviolet absorption spectra it was shown that alloxan is stable in water solutions of pH less than 4. It was proved by electrochemical research and by studying the changes in the ultraviolet absorption spectrum that dialuric acid is a product of reduction of alloxan. Besides conjugate formed was found to have absorption band but to be not electroactive.
