In this paper the aqueous dispersions of paraffin wax particles stabilized by surfactant - cetyl/oleyl alcohol etoxylate Eumulgin O10 and polymer: polyacrylic acid Carbopol ®940 or polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) were investigated. The average size of paraffin particles was ~190 nm in the range of Carbopol ®940 concentrations of 0,047 - 0,33 wt.%. In the case of PVA stabilization particles sizes decreased from 2.5 µm to 460 nm in the range of PVA concentration of 0,2 - 0,5 wt %. Increasing PVA concentration above 0,5 wt.% led to drastic increase in the sizes of paraffin particles.
