KINETICS OF BUTYL LACTATE OLIGOMERIZATION CATALYZED BY SnCl

In the present work, the kinetics of butyl lactate oligomerisation on tin (IV) chloride was investigated. It was found that in the closed system with no butanol removal, the dominant reaction pathway is butyl lactate dimerization. Values for kinetic parameters were estimated and final kinetic model proved to be capable of adequately describing reaction behaviour in the specified conditions range.
