FLAT MEMBRANE CONTACTOR APPLICATION FOR CATALITIC WET AIR OXIDATION OF PHENOL IN DILUTE SOLUTIONS

A method for carrying out catalytic wet air oxidation of phenol in dilute aqueous solutions using flat membrane contactors is proposed. It is shown that the membrane contactors, a ceramic substrate coated with a CuO microfiltration layer, exhibit catalytic properties at room temperature. As for 4-6 hours of reaction the conversion of phenol was less than 20%, in these conditions, deposited layers with the most probable pore radius of 0.5 m, a layer thickness of 2-4 microns and a specific surface area of ​​7 m
