SYNTHESIS OF CERAMICS BASED ON SILICON CARBIDE BY CHEMICAL PRECIPITATION

The use of nano-sized powders as starting materials the technology of silicium carbide ceramics involves an relevant issue of inhomogenous dopant distribution on the particle surface. The presented paper discusses a possible solution to this problem, namely a method for ceramic material synthesis based on the hetero-phase chemical precipitation technique. Implementation of such method gave an opportunity to obtain a promising structural ceramic material.
