METHOD FOR IMPROVING ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF REVERSE-OSMOSIS MEMBRANE USED FOR WATER DESALINATION

The values of energy consumption by different technologies of water desalination was shown. The methodology of the experiment described. Experimental data of energy consumption of the reverse-osmosis membranet depending on salinity are obtained. A method for improving energy efficiency of reverse osmosis membrane with using a variable frequency drive is proposed.
