STUDY OF COMBUSTION BEHAVIOR OF ZIRCONIUM-BASED SOLID PROPELLANTS

Combustion behavior of high-density zirconium-based solid propellants has been studied. It is shown that the replacement of aluminum by zirconium of similar size in systems with energetic binder leads to a small (20%) increase in the burning rate and a slight decrease in the pressure index.
