MODELING OF CELL GROWTH IN HOLLOW-FIBER MEMBRANE MODULE

The developed hollow-fiber membrane bioreactor for mammalian cells cultivation has been presented. The method for hollow-fiber membrane bioreactors modeling has been described, the numerical simulation for hollow-fiber membrane cartridge Toray BK-2.1P has been done using software CFD ANSYS FLUENT. The flowrates distribution inside one fiber and interfibrillar space and the distribution of transmembrane pressures in one fiber have been shown. Flowrates in each fiber and interfibrillar space were 10 l/h.
