Study of Thermal Decomposition of Guanidinium and ammonium 5,5’-Azotetrazole Salts

Thermal decomposition of ammonium and guanidinium 5,5’-azotetrazole salts in the condensed-phase, and guanidinium 5,5’-azotetrazole salt in solution in guanidinium hydrochloride have been investigated. It was shown that combustion of salt obeys the condensed-phase mechanism. The kinetic parameters of the controlling chemical reaction have been estimated, and the detailed combustion mechanism of salts of 5,5’-azotetrazole has been proposed.
