Catalytic active ceramic tubular membrane elements with a massive layer of catalyst are designed on the basis of micro porous alfa-Al2O3 ceramic supports. Sol-gel method was used in the work for deposition of additional selective surface layers. We used the molybdenum blue as a precursor. The chemical modification of the original substrate surface was carried out during experiment. It was shown how temperature conditions and annealing agent influence on the morphology and porous characteristics of the catalytically active membranes.
