It was established that an increase in hp-?-CD concentration enhances Rb solubility, which can be accounted for by formation of an inclusion complex. Quantum-chemical calculations allowed us to assume that entry of a Rb molecule piperidine fragment into the cavity of hp-?-CD is geometrically possible. We have studied the impact of medium acidity on Rb solubility in the presence and absence of hp-?-CD. The trend of solubility growth in the presence of hp-?-CD persisted throughout the whole range of pH values, with solubility growth being more pronounced in both alkaline and acid media. We estimated the conditional constant of complex stability (logK = 1,66 М-1) using the Higuchi and Connors method. The method of infrared spectroscopy helped us to determine that secondary amino group and ketogroup are engaged in intermolecular complexing reactions
