The factors that determine the conditions of clumping during drying of high-fiber-forming polymers in the suspended layer are reviewed. A mathematical model of clumping in the presence of a water film on the surface of the particles and derive the equations for determining the size of clots forming are considered. It is recommended to use the mode of fluidization with a vibrating heating surfaces immersed in a layer.
