The trinitromethylation reaction of cyanuric chloride with trinitromethane salts and adamantane based alcohols was studied. It was found out that there is a new bistrinitromethylationalkoxylation reaction in case of adamantan-1-ol, 3,5-dimethyladamantan-1-ol and adamantan-2-ol, and trinitromethylation-dialkoxylation reaction in case of adamantylmethanol and adamantylethanol.
