Using calcination of furfuryl polymer based mixtures there were prepared mesoporous glassy carbon materials in one-pot synthesis route. Pore size is smaller than 50 nm and specific 36 surface area is up to 1350 m2/g. Materials are prospective for application as absorbents, membranes, catalyst support, electrode for electrochemical and fuel cell.
