Kinetic model of the reaction of steam reforming of methanol based on five elementary steps reaction mechanism has been developed. Unknown model parameters were estimated by least squares method to fit experimental data. A good agreement was shown between the model predicted and experimental results obtained in plug flow reactor in a wide range of volumetric flow rates of 1000-10000 h–1, temperatures of 200-400 oC, pressures of 0.1-0.5 MPa. A Bartlett 32 criterion was used to prove the adequacy of given kinetic model of the reaction of steam reforming of methanol to experimental data.
