In this paper temperature distribution in combustion wave of model ballistic propellant, based on ethyleneglycol dinitrate, whose boiling temperature is much lower than that of nitroglycerine, is studied. The resulting combustion surface temperature is significantly higher than the boiling temperature of plasticizer in all pressure ranges, which provides the necessary heat effect in condensed reaction zone for propagation of combustion process.
