The main environmental problems in the pulp and paper mills are connected with the use of sulphate and sulphite technologies at the stage of cooking, as well as with the use of chlorine and chlorinated compounds in the stage of bleaching. Proposed sodium-oxygen technology for producing pulp free from this disadvantage, since at the stage of cooking is used sodium hydroxide, and the stage of bleaching - the oxygen of air or its mixture with ozone. It is also proposed to replace the traditional sources of raw materials for herbaceous plants, in particular cannabis.
