The process to recover metals from spent dry cell batteries is presented. A recovering process includes dismantling, screening, dissolving, liquid-liquid extraction, stripping, precipitat- ing and filtrating steps. Di-2-ethylhexylphosphoric acid, D2EHPA, in kerosene is proposed as an extractant. The process yields next products: manganese carbonate, zinc carbonate.
